Happy Birthday America.  I had intended to write earlier today, but first I had to clean for house guests, shop for house guests, entertain the kids, go to Connor Prairie for some historic fun, welcome our house guests, cook-out and watch the fire works.  Woooo, so here we are at 11:30 p.m. on Independance Day.

Today I found myself reflecting on a couple of things.  First, i was amazed at how few places of business closed and, thus, how many people had to work.  And i was grateful for the freedom not to work today.  I also found myself reflecting on our military that is , thank God, hard at work every minute of every day.  As we watched the fireworks, I reminded my children to say a prayer for those military soldiers that are fighting for us and for their families back at home.

I love the 4th of July…  I love the flags and the parades and the fireworkds and all those reminders of what a great country we live in.  Owning my own business and working with men and women every day who are searching for and acheiving the American dream, i am often blessed by the stories of the men and women who have come to America to aceive what we sometimes take for granted.  Not every country, in fact, very few countries, allow their people the freedom to work when, where and for whom they want!  So, as I lay my head to sleep tonight, I will remeber those who are fighting for us, those who have fought to be among us and those who want what we have!

Blessings-
